If something in your sex life or relationship isn’t working - you’re not alone
For a lot of people, things don’t suddenly “go wrong” but instead there is a gradual shift over time.
Sex and intimacy might have started to feel:
pressured, rather than natural
less frequent, or easier to avoid
mismatched or imbalanced between partners
different to how it used to feel
or just “off”, without a clear reason why
You might find yourself:
overthinking it
avoiding it
or unsure how to even start a conversation about it
The good news is - you don’t need to have it all figured out yet
Most people I work with aren’t coming in with a clear diagnosis or label for what is wrong.
They’re usually at the point of:
“Something isn’t working here, but I don’t fully understand why.”
That’s exactly where we start.
My role is to help you:
make sense of what’s going on
identify some of the patterns that may be contributing
and work out what to do next
In a way that is structured, practical and grounded in psychological, emotional and physical understanding.
I’m Nia Jane — Psychosexologist, Registered Nurse and Certified Relationship Therapist.
My background combines healthcare and psychological training with over ten years’ experience supporting people through some of the most intimate and complex aspects of their lives.
My approach is:
Evidence-based - rooted in current research and clinical practice
Relatable - clear, straightforward language without unnecessary jargon
Inclusive - I work comfortably with kink, polyamory, neurodivergence and gender diversity
You can expect professionalism, warmth, and zero judgement - just a focused, compassionate space to get to the root of what’s going on.
Here are some of the areas I can support you in:
Difficulties with desire, arousal or orgasm
Pain during sex
Intimacy after trauma
Erectile or ejaculation concerns
Communication within relationships
Repair following betrayal or trust breakdown
Exploration of kink, polyamory or sexual identity
The impact of disability, illness or neurodivergence on sex and relationships
If your concern doesn’t quite fit into a neat category, that’s completely fine. We’ll figure it out together.
What to Expect From Your Clarity Session
I recommend that new clients begin with a Clarity session - a focused, clinically structured conversation to help us understand what’s been happening and map out the most appropriate next steps for you.
This is not a casual chat or a sales call. It’s a purposeful session where we begin making sense of your situation in a clear, practical and helpful way.
What we’ll cover in the session
During our 20min Clarity session, we will:
Explore the main concerns bringing you to therapy at this point in time
Clarify your goals and what you would like to work on
Identify what a meaningful or ‘successful’ therapy outcome would look like for you
Briefly explore and identify patterns that may be contributing to the issue
Consider whether ongoing Progress Sessions, a one-off Focus session or a different approach would be most suitable for your concerns
Assess whether working together feels like the right fit therapeutically.
What you’ll leave with
By the end of the session, you will have:
A clearer understanding of what may be going on
A more defined direction for moving forward
Initial, targeted suggestions or strategies where appropriate
A recommendation on the most suitable next step
You don’t need to prepare anything in advance - just come as you are.
